## Position Overview

kdb+/q developers at Squarepoint work closely with researchers and traders to design, implement, test, and maintain our service-oriented kdb+ architecture. As a kdb+/q developer, you will contribute to designing our model of reality, normalizing diverse datasets to generate it. You will also build robust, scalable infrastructure to expose data to users worldwide.

## Responsibilities

  
- Design, implement, test, and maintain service-oriented kdb+ architecture.
  
- Normalize diverse datasets to support modeling and decision-making.
  
- Build robust, scalable infrastructure to expose data to users worldwide.
  
- Own key parts of the infrastructure and provide level 2+ support for critical services during live trading.

## Required Qualifications

  
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM subject
  
- Up to 4 years of experience in a relevant role using kdb+/q
  
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  
- Eagerness to continuously learn new technologies and develop with the team
  
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment

## Nice to Have

  
- Experience designing, testing, optimizing, and troubleshooting data-intensive applications
  
- Experience analyzing and organizing financial data
  
- Experience with Python, C++, or Rust
  
- Experience with other database management systems and related technologies such as SQL
