Posted 2026-05-15; applications close 2026-07-14. **Apply**: https://jll.wd1.myworkdayjobs.com/jllcareers/job/London-GBR/Apprentice-Electrical-Engineer_REQ507300 Posted 5d ago. ## Role details ## Summary As an Apprentice Electrical Engineer, you will work under the supervision of experienced electrical and building professionals to learn the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting across a range of electrical equipment. ## What you will be doing - Assist electrical engineers with the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems in commercial buildings. - Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections and testing of electrical equipment. - Assist in troubleshooting electrical faults and recommend appropriate solutions. - Read and interpret electrical drawings, diagrams, and blueprints. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. - Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. - Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical engineering and recommend process improvements. ## Desired Skills, Qualities, and Experience - Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above; a grade 5 in Maths is required for this role. - Enthusiastic and passionate about a career in engineering. - Eager to develop new skills and knowledge in a fast-paced environment. - Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team. - Good attendance, self-discipline, and time management; ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks. - Minimum age of 18 years old. - Full UK Driving Licence. ## What you can expect in return - Salary £22,000 per annum. - 26 days of holiday (including bank holidays) with the option to buy 5 additional days. - Contributory company pension scheme. - Life Assurance. ## About the apprenticeship You will be studying towards a Level 3 Electrical Apprenticeship at London South Bank University. When not studying, you will work alongside our experienced team. You may be required to travel to different sites within a geographical region. You will need to manage your time and commitments well to ensure that you complete your assignments while delivering a highly valued role. In addition to developing your core engineering skills, you will support diverse and general maintenance activities across our facilities as part of JLL's comprehensive Total Facilities Management (TFM) service delivery. This may include routine inspections, basic repairs, equipment servicing, and assisting with preventive maintenance schedules. These responsibilities provide valuable hands-on experience across the full spectrum of facilities management while contributing to overall operational efficiency and complement your technical development as you progress through the apprenticeship program. ## Important Information **GRADES:** You will be required to provide your GCSE grades prior to selection for the Assessment Centre & Interview. **Assessment Centre:** The assessment centre for this programme will take place on either Monday 22 June or Tuesday 23 June in London. **Role Start Date:** September 2026. **Note:** You may be required to complete a DBS check, at either basic or enhanced level, depending on the location you will be working in. ## Location On-site – London, GBR If this job description resonates with you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet all of the requirements.
