The Data Centre Technician will provide technical assistance and overall support for our customers, delivering 24/7 cover through a 12-hour shift pattern. ## Responsibilities - Install racks, housing, network and computer equipment. - Manage and implement installations as required, including shelves, power strips, rails, cable management and customer IT equipment. - Identify hardware or cabling issues, replace internal components, and test, trace and label cabling. - Coordinate with counterparts within the company globally and with third parties on hardware-related issues and processes. - Uphold standards of tidiness, cleanliness, security, asset information and installation standards within the computer suites. ## Qualifications ### Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience - Computer engineering experience to achieve optimum methods of working. - Cabling experience and knowledge to optimize methods of working. - Installation of rack-mount kits including HP and CISCO. - Hardware maintenance – swapping failed customer replaceable parts such as cache batteries, HDDs, power supplies. - Highly motivated, with a positive and proactive attitude to work. - Willingness to improve operational efficiency through innovation, processes, and procedures. - Ability to act rapidly and logically under pressure and to leverage others in problem resolution. - Capable of working with minimal supervision. - Good written and verbal communication skills (English). - Good working knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel. - Excellent teamwork, with the ability to listen and contribute to discussions and meetings. - Customer and service-focused, with a determination to meet their needs. ### Desirable Skills, Knowledge and Experience - ITIL Accreditation. - Dell and HP product knowledge. - Experience with ServiceNow. **#LI-JN1** If this job description resonates with you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet all of the requirements.
