Management Accountant

Job Purpose

To provide financial accounting support to the UK Reporting team.

Responsibilities

• Involvement in the monthly financial close process, including accruals, prepayments and account analysis, Balance Sheet reconciliations, and P&L commentary for management review, ensuring all activities are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
• Preparation of payroll journals across various jurisdictions.
• Preparation of various intercompany payroll recharges.
• Preparation of commissions accruals and commission deferral releases.
• Tracking of commissions paid, including deferrals, accruals and analysis for management. Investigation of material differences between the accrual and payments.
• Providing cover for the financial reporting team's treasury activities when required.
• Local GAAP calculations and postings for leases.
• The keeping of all financial records, accounts and schedules to the requirements of the auditors and generally accepted accounting standards and practices.
• Work with the team to ensure reconciliation process notes are complete and up to date.
• Acting as back-up for other members of staff in their absence as appropriate.
• Perform such other duties as may be required from time to time by the Financial Reporting Managers.

Knowledge and Experience

• Recently qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA)
• Previous experience with Oracle Cloud system would be an advantage
• Good personal communication skills, both written and oral
• Must possess great attention to detail
• Must be self-motivated and a self-starter
• Must be focused and deadline driven
• Good computer literacy with experience using computer-based accounting systems, word processing, spreadsheets and other standard business software
• Clear commitment to the team approach of exchanging ideas and providing support to colleagues
• The jobholder will receive training and guidance but will also need to be able to work by themselves
