## Role

We are currently seeking a high-calibre professional to join our team as a Collections Associate - GRF.

## Responsibilities

  
- Critically assess each case where retail customers are found to be experiencing difficulty in meeting financial obligations to the bank.
  
- Service our customers in a manner that promotes a belief that HSBC can help them during a period of financial difficulty.
  
- Provide customers with the confidence that HSBC understands their specific situation and concerns.
  
- Agree appropriate solutions to meet customers’ needs that are positive, sustainable, and based on a clear understanding of each customer’s affordability and circumstances.
  
- Identify issues of vulnerability during servicing and progress special handling of individuals when appropriate.
  
- Adhere to regulatory requirements and Collections policies.

## Requirements / Qualifications

  
- Experience in collections and the ability to manage and review delinquent/revoked/written-off RBWM both Secured & Unsecured accounts, recommending effective collection actions that balance risk and recovery (including control flow prior to write-off and maximizing recoveries).
  
- Ability to handle all accounts impacted by MAS regulatory changes, non-English speaking calls transferred from Offshore Team, and Debt Restructuring Requests.
  
- Experience monitoring and supervising External Debt Collections Agencies (DCA) and Legal Recovery Law Firms in alignment with HSBC values and data protection.
  
- Ability to manage/review draft responses on exceptional collections cases, such as customer feedback and MAS letters.
  
- Willingness to participate in UAT, take on ad hoc projects, or assignments beyond the given portfolio.
  
- Strong liaison with external parties such as lawyers, Credit Counselling Singapore, Associations Banks of Singapore, MAS, and HSBC overseas counterparts.
