We are growing a team to assist clients in the area of Cybersecurity in Operational Technology (OT). OT security sits at the intersection of Information Technology (IT) and engineering-driven control of physical processes. This field involves regulatory compliance, cyber risk assessments, penetration testing, red teaming, incident response, and more. Our multidisciplinary team combines cybersecurity and engineering expertise to deliver high-quality services to our clients. ## Role Overview The role involves working as part of project teams under the supervision of more experienced team members (e.g., Assistant Managers and Managers). You will engage with clients to gather information, clarify requirements, manage expectations, and provide clear explanations of your work. You may also deliver recommendations to improve the client’s security posture, while considering potential changes to their environment and practices. In addition, you may perform other assessments for different purposes, such as identifying gaps between regulatory requirements and current practices in OT or IT systems. You will collaborate with subject matter experts in various areas of cybersecurity, including penetration testing and red teaming exercises for owners/operators of critical infrastructure. ## Responsibilities - Conduct risk assessments or threat modelling for a variety of industry control systems, on-premises IT systems, and cloud deployments. - Digest large, complex information about systems (network architecture, firewall rules, etc.) to develop an accurate understanding of their components. - Analyze and identify cybersecurity risks, including how an attack could enter a network and disrupt operations or create safety hazards. - Interact with clients to obtain information, manage expectations, and clearly explain findings and recommendations. - Provide recommendations to improve security posture, while considering the impact on the client’s environment and practices. - Perform assessments for regulatory compliance gaps in OT or IT environments. - Work primarily in project teams under supervision from more experienced colleagues. - Contribute to delivering a wide range of cybersecurity services to clients. - Collaborate with subject matter experts across cybersecurity disciplines to deliver integrated solutions (e.g., coordinating with penetration testing teams for red teaming exercises). ## Qualifications & Requirements - Degree in Cybersecurity / Information Security; or Degree in Engineering with relevant cybersecurity skills and aptitude; or Degree in Computer Science / IT with relevant cybersecurity skills and aptitude; or equivalent experience in cybersecurity with OT/IIoT interest. - Experience as a cybersecurity professional with a keen interest in OT/IIoT; or experience as a SCADA or DCS engineer with cybersecurity interest; or IoT developers/testers with cybersecurity interest. - Certifications in cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP, CISM) may be advantageous. - Certifications in OT cybersecurity (e.g., GICSP, GRID, IEC 62443) may be advantageous. ## Applying to this role This Consulting, Cyber Operational Technology, Graduate Associate 2026 role at KPMG runs through the firm's own careers portal and expects a CV and cover letter written specifically for the posting, not a portable submission carried across firms.
