## Job Description

Daily position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  
- Develop and maintain proprietary databases, reports and monitors
  
- Analyze and improve existing code to improve performance and value
  
- Work with mathematical modelling and algorithmic development
  
- Analyze loan information for securitization deals, whole loan transactions, and warehouse facilities
  
- Manage information for a variety of financial assets, and provide analysis and reporting for warehouse financing, securitizations, and corporate advisory projects
  
- Work with senior investment banking officers, senior financial quants, portfolio managers, and back-office operation teams

## Basic Qualifications

  
- Strong Excel, VBA and Database SQL skills
  
- Degrees in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or other related technical majors are required
  
- Recent graduate from a financial engineering school or 1-3 years of comparable experience in a financial institution
  
- Ability to work in a high pressure, dynamic investment banking environment
  
- Strong ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic investment banking environment and to meet deadlines and complete time-sensitive duties, as assigned
  
- A team player, and able to interact with team members
  
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

## Preferred Qualifications

  
- Knowledge of R, Python and advanced programming languages is an asset
  
- Understanding of financial models, statistical analysis, and simulation

## Education

  
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
