DV Trading operates as an independent proprietary trading firm with its own capital, trading strategies, and risk management methodologies to provide liquidity to global markets and hedging opportunities to commodity producers and users. DV group affiliates include two broker-dealers, a cryptocurrency market making firm, and a growing investment adviser. DV Commodities is a division that specializes in trading energy and commodities markets, with desks in London, New York, Chicago, Houston, and Dubai.

Job Responsibilities

• Work side by side with senior traders
• Learn proprietary methodologies and trading systems supporting an established trading business
• Real-time risk management through trade entry and risk layoffs
• Build and maintain trading models
• Enhance existing trades and identify new opportunities
• Liaise between the trading group, internal departments, and OTC relationships
• Additional responsibilities may be driven by the individual’s interests and skills

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s, or Ph.D. in mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science, or a related field, and on track to graduate by Summer 2026
• Strong understanding of math, probability, and statistics
• Advanced aptitude for problem solving and multitasking
• High proficiency in Excel and VBA
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and statistical modeling is preferred
• A strong work ethic and ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Detail-oriented, organized, and diligent
• Ability to maintain composure and communicate clearly under pressure

Annual compensation range: $85K - $100K + discretionary bonus eligibility
