## Role details

## Overview

The role is a critical position serving Wealth Management clients and supporting the Dealing Desk and Front Office Relationship teams. It ensures timely and accurate processing of settlements, confirmations, and life cycle management of Equity, OTC Derivatives transactions, for Wealth Management clients and with counterparties/brokers.

## Responsibilities

  
- Process Equity and OTC derivatives, including equity/bond/index/listed/exotic options and interest rate swaps.
  
- Match, sort, and verify trade confirmations against traders’ daily reports and blotters; follow up with the advisory desk, counterparty, and front office for any trade discrepancies.
  
- Monitor and process periodic fixing events, including settlements from options exercised/knock-outs and periodic interest payments; create SWIFT payments and investigate reconciliation breaks with nostro and securities.
  
- Monitor short sale positions and ensure prompt follow-up and updates to daily control reports for failed trades, late trades, or non-receipt of confirmations.
  
- Ensure proper management approval for special waivers and maintain the waiver file.
  
- Update and maintain internal master records for newly incepted trades, periodic exercises, knock-outs, expiry; track receipt/acknowledgment dates of counterparty confirmations; address queries from front office, advisory desk, and counterparties.
  
- Participate in user-acceptance testing (UAT) and ad-hoc projects.
  
- Check transaction supplements/long-form confirmations from counterparties and follow up on non-receipt.
  
- Prepare manual confirmations and advice to clients.
  
- Monitor daily margins for listed options to ensure sufficient funds at custodian level.

## Other Contributions

  
- Complete all required compliance training to maintain appropriate business and compliance knowledge.
  
- Minimize operational errors by adhering to internal procedures and applicable banking/regulatory requirements.
  
- Be well versed in the department’s role within the bank’s disaster recovery and business continuity planning (BCP) strategy and actively participate in BCP tests to ensure operational readiness.

## Qualifications & Requirements

  
- One year of experience in a back office or support role is preferred.
  
- Ability to collaborate effectively.
  
- Attention to detail; client-focused.
  
- Adaptability to changes.
  
- Analytical ability. Preferred: intermediate proficiency in Excel, including VBA/macros and formulas, to automate tasks.

## Education / Certification / Licenses

  
- Degree in Business or Finance.
