This 12-month fixed-term contract role sits within the Treasury team and reports to the Head of Treasury Controlling. You will assist Treasury controllers in governance and reporting across financial and regulatory risks, spanning Safeguarding, CASS, Liquidity, Market and Credit risk. The role offers the opportunity to learn how a risk management framework functions and to contribute to risk governance and controls across the organization. ## Responsibilities - Support governance across all key risk committees by facilitating meetings, tracking action points, and coordinating risk approval requests. - Own the production of risk committee packs for Safeguarding, CASS, Liquidity, Market, and Credit Risk. - Coordinate teams to complete actions related to these committees and ensure information is cascaded to enable synergy and informed decision-making. - Design and implement key performance metrics to develop the Treasury management information suite showcasing the team’s work. - Collaborate with Treasury controllers on projects involving first-line controls to actively manage risk. - Document, challenge, and build an end-to-end view of the internal control environment illustrating key risks, controls, and processes within the internal risk management software. - Design and implement a full testing plan for Treasury controls, including ongoing testing and stressed scenarios. - Coordinate the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process for all Treasury risks. - Provide cross-cover for individual risk controllers, developing skills in chairing meetings, determining quorum, and updating terms of reference as the environment changes. - Ensure Treasury SOX controls are maintained to the required standard. - Support and challenge product engineering, operations, and product leadership in maturing the risk and control environment; collaborate during planning to guide control design improvements with a focus on automation. - Track remediation findings and monitor progress for internal and external audit actions to ensure timely completion and adequate mitigation of identified risks. ## Opportunities - Own your path of success with a high level of autonomy and responsibility. - Grow with the role by engaging with senior leaders, detailing remediation steps, and developing leadership skills through managing remediation points. - Serve as a stepping stone into the treasury function of a fast-growing fintech. - Develop in-depth knowledge of Wise’s business by partnering with multiple teams to foster a risk and control culture. ## About You - **Theory:** You are eager to learn more about fintechs and the workings of an organization handling high-volume transactions. - **Financial Knowledge:** You have a basic understanding of financial risks and want to learn more about risk management and controls. - **Practice:** You have strong writing skills and can produce professional reporting packs. - **Drive:** You are proactive, willing to roll up your sleeves, and take ownership to solve problems. - **Commercial Acumen:** You understand balancing risk and controls to support business growth. - **Collaborative:** You work well in a multinational environment and contribute across teams; no drama, good karma. - **Development:** You are keen to learn how a fintech and fast-growing scale-up operates. ## Additional Information Our Treasury team is spread across the globe, with major presence in London and Tallinn.
