## Position

We are seeking a Compensation Analyst to join our growing Compensation team. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly analytical professional who enjoys working with data, building models, and translating insights into clear, actionable recommendations that support business decision-making.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical and Excel skills, sound judgment when handling confidential information, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across the organization. Candidates with backgrounds in finance, analytics, or quantitative business roles are encouraged to apply.

## What you'll do

  
- Perform compensation analyses and modeling to support salary structures, incentive programs, equity awards, and other pay practices
  
- Build and maintain Excel-based models, tools, and dashboards to support compensation planning, forecasting, and analysis
  
- Mine, validate, and interpret large datasets from Workday and other systems to identify trends, risks, and insights
  
- Partner with the Compensation team on initiatives such as salary structure development, pay equity analyses, career frameworks, and market data reviews
  
- Support annual merit planning and promotion cycles, including eligibility analysis, budgeting support, validation, and reporting
  
- Participate in compensation surveys and analyze market data to assess internal competitiveness
  
- Prepare clear summaries and presentations of findings for stakeholders
  
- Audit compensation data and job information in Workday to ensure accuracy and consistency
  
- Collaborate closely with People Business Partners, HRIS, FP&A, and other cross-functional teams

## Who you are

  
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year university or equivalent professional experience
  
- 1+ years of experience in compensation, finance, analytics, or a related quantitative role
  
- Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, lookups, and pivot tables
  
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful conclusions
  
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences
  
- High attention to detail and demonstrated ability to handle confidential information
  
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment

## Preferred

  
- Experience in a global, publicly traded technology company
  
- Workday or other HRIS experience
  
- Exposure to compensation surveys and market pricing

In accordance with US state laws, the base compensation range for this role is a reasonable estimate and may differ based on experience, knowledge, skills, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through stock-based compensation grants, and the company offers other compensation such as variable incentives and commissions. At The Trade Desk, base salary is part of a competitive total compensation package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is $70,500 to $129,300 USD.
