Program Description & Responsibilities

The Strategic Advisory group is one of the most experienced teams in the industry and has been involved in some of the largest, most complex transactions in recent years. Our global team focuses on a diverse set of industries, including technology, media & telecommunications, energy, power & utilities, industrials, healthcare, and real estate.

As a First Year Analyst in the Structured Products group, you will have the opportunity to work directly with large financial sponsors and corporate clients on transactions across industries and capital structures within the structured fund finance (e.g., collateralized fund obligations, rated feeders, etc.) and asset-based finance (e.g., ABS, joint ventures, forward flows, etc.) asset classes. Responsibilities in connection with the role include but are not limited to:

  • Analyzing capital structures and cash flow models
  • Facilitating due diligence on prospective and active client mandates
  • Creating presentations and memoranda to present to clients and internal parties
  • Preparing investor materials across all transaction structures and legal-related matters
  • Coordinating complex and time-sensitive transaction processes with clients, investors, rating agencies, and external legal counsel
  • Monitoring financial and securitization markets and industry trends
  • Active involvement in client-facing situations
  • Ongoing investor relationship development and management
  • Participation in talent development efforts, including recruiting

Upon completion of training, Analysts will have the opportunity to participate in all aspects of pitches and live transactions. Due to the relatively small size of the professional staff, Analysts will be expected to assume an integral role, with exposure to a full set of Analyst responsibilities, often working directly with senior-level bankers.
