## Role Overview

We are seeking a Trading Assistant to join the Discretionary Macro and Fixed Income (DMFI) team at Schonfeld. You will have a passion for trading and a deep interest in financial markets. In this role, you will work closely with Portfolio Managers (PMs) while proactively collaborating with the Operations department on trade bookings, data analysis, and reports. You will build strong relationships across internal and external stakeholders and communicate effectively to work well with others.

## What you’ll do

  
- Support the Portfolio Managers on trade bookings and overall blotter management
  
- Manage trade recaps to ensure accuracy across the trade lifecycle and all systems
  
- Oversee position management as well as P&L inquiries within the Portfolio Management System (PMS) and trader systems
  
- Manage FX and future rolls, expiries, cash balances, and trade/position impactful events
  
- Contribute to automation and tooling to reduce risk and gaps
  
- Liaise with stakeholders and Portfolio Managers on risk and attribution reporting
  
- Ensure compliance and due diligence measures are adhered to in accordance with regulatory and fiduciary responsibilities
  
- Coordinate with Operations, Product, and P&L Valuations teams to align vendor and internal support systems with Portfolio Managers’ accuracy in booking and P&L modeling within the firm’s framework

## What you’ll bring

  
- Experience supporting Portfolio Managers or Traders
  
- Knowledge of operational risk and trade lifecycle events as they impact P&L
  
- Strong quantitative and analytical problem-solving skills, effective communication, and presentation skills
  
- Understanding of financial markets and various Fixed Income and FX products, including futures, forwards, swaps, and options
  
- Self-motivated with intellectual curiosity and a drive to find the best possible solutions
  
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task with ease, and maintain close attention to detail
  
- Advanced Excel with VBA and macros
  
- Proficiency in Python

_The base pay for this role is expected to be between $120,000 and $150,000. This base pay range is based on information available at the time of posting. The role may be eligible for additional compensation such as a performance bonus and a comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation will be determined based on skills, qualifications, and experience._
