## Role details

## Job Purpose

The ICE Internship Program offers a dynamic opportunity to engage in hands-on, impactful work on projects that shape our business, alongside practical career and professional development. Participants build meaningful connections, strengthen interpersonal skills, and contribute in meaningful ways.

Beyond day-to-day responsibilities, interns participate in weekly sessions led by industry leaders, connect with fellow interns, and deepen their understanding of the financial services, technology, and mortgage industries.

The Artificial Intelligence, Data & Machine Learning Intern will support AI/ML initiatives and projects within the New York Stock Exchange.

## Responsibilities

  
- Research and build AI/ML solutions for NYSE internal and external products
  
- Assist in designing and building machine learning models that support innovation across trading, analytics, and operational platforms
  
- Participate in team meetings to contribute ideas and learn from experienced developers and data scientists
  
- Perform additional duties and contribute to projects as assigned

## Knowledge and Experience

  
- Must be currently enrolled in a degree program at an accredited university, and be advancing to their junior year of study
  
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience with Large Language Models (LLMs)
  
- Background in Machine Learning and Data Science, including model development, statistical analysis, and data-driven decision-making
  
- Demonstrates strong written and oral communication skills

## Internship Program Schedule

Internships start on June 8, 2026, and run until August 21, 2026.

Please note: Interns must be available to work full-time, five days a week, at our New York (11 Wall Street) office for the entire duration of one of the designated program schedules. Partial participation or alternate dates cannot be accommodated.

## Compensation

The expected hourly rate for this role is $35 per hour.
