## Who You Are

We’re looking for people who love building connections, supporting others, and making a real impact. You don’t need to know everything about banking—bring your curiosity and drive, and we’ll help with the rest.

- A natural communicator: You express yourself clearly and enjoy helping others understand new concepts.

- A people person: You love getting to know people and building relationships.

- Fast-paced and detail-oriented: You can juggle different tasks, work well under pressure, and pay attention to detail when priorities shift.

- Team player: You enjoy collaborating and understand success is a team effort.

- Ownership mindset: You take initiative and propose solutions, rather than waiting for others to act.

- Eager to learn: You are curious and ready to acquire new knowledge.

- Self-aware: You understand how your actions affect others and seek growth both personally and professionally.

If you’re the kind of person who gets a buzz from helping others succeed—and loves the idea of being part of your clients’ story—we’d love to hear from you.

## What You’ll Do

From day one, you’ll be part of a dedicated team focused on building, growing, and protecting deep, trusted relationships with our Commercial Banking clients. You’ll help clients succeed and safeguard their legacy while strengthening HSBC’s position as a trusted partner.

### Key activities include

- Get early exposure to clients: Start building connections, gain insight into clients’ businesses and goals, and understand how HSBC’s solutions—from sustainable supply chains to green bonds—can support their success.

- Act as the link between HSBC and its clients: Develop deep knowledge of clients to ensure HSBC delivers the right solutions at the right time.

- Work with specialist teams: Collaborate with experts across the bank to grow client relationships and deliver tailored financial solutions. Work across geographies and functions, including Legal, Credit, and Risk.

- Get into the detail: Create client presentations, reports, and credit papers; support strategic reviews and pitches; conduct financial analysis and risk assessments on client portfolios and transactions.

## What You’ll Learn

Your journey begins with structured training delivered by local and external experts to provide the technical know-how to hit the ground running. Your graduate programme includes two rotations across our product offering. You’ll learn how to construct a trade cycle, propose customer solutions, and understand how new products and enhancements are introduced to the business and customers. Your final, longest placement will be in a customer-facing or “coverage” role to deepen your understanding of who our customers are and how we serve them.

By the end of the programme, you’ll have a solid understanding of our products, our customers, and how we serve them, and you’ll be set up for a permanent role within one of our Coverage teams.

## Additional Information

You are encouraged to discuss your career aspirations with your line manager before applying. If you have been in your current role for less than 12 months, please obtain your line manager’s support for your application to this programme.

## Eligibility Criteria

- Obtained a 3.2/4.0 cumulative GPA, or equivalent to Upper Second Class Honours above undergraduate degree from a recognised university
