## Overview

If you’re naturally analytical, curious about how the world works, and keen to turn global events into insights, you’ll fit right in. You’ll be part of a close-knit team in either equity or macro research, contributing to real reports and insights that clients rely on.

## What you’ll do

  
- Work across markets and regions to create detailed reports and trade ideas, gaining exposure to different asset classes and global investment themes.
  
- Build analytical skills by breaking down complex problems and analyzing numbers, data, and trends with a sharp eye for detail and accuracy.
  
- Assess company performance, evaluate risks, and interpret what the data means.
  
- Learn how to present with impact in client meetings, internal updates, or well-crafted research notes.
  
- Understand how the global economy, current events, and market trends influence investment decisions and how research supports clients and big decisions.
  
- Collaborate with experienced Analysts and Economists who will support your learning and growth.
  
- Develop proficiency with industry tools such as financial modeling platforms, data dashboards, and market intelligence tools to turn complex information into clear insights.

You’ll begin with a full week of structured training led by external experts. Afterward, you’ll continue learning on the job with feedback, mentorship, and growth opportunities. By the end of the internship, you’ll be equipped to analyze, explain, and act on global market developments. Exceptional performance may lead to a space on our graduate programme.

## Eligibility & Requirements

  
- Available to work full time for 10 weeks commencing June 2027.
  
- Obtained, or expected to achieve, a GPA of at least 4.0/5.0 or 3.2/4.0 (or overseas equivalent) as shown on official transcripts.
  
- On track to graduate December 2027 or May 2028.
  
- Fluent in English.
  
- Legally permitted to work in the US without HSBC sponsorship for the full duration of the internship and beyond the end date.

## Compensation

HSBC targets a fixed pay range of $48.07 per hour for this role.
