## Key responsibilities

  
- Maintain and follow strict confidentiality as customer privacy is our top priority
  
- Work with a range of data types including text, speech, image, and video
  
- Deliver high-quality labelled data using guidelines to meet KPIs, utilizing in-house tools and software
  
- Serve as a subject matter expert for ML data workflows; research, create factually and grammatically correct responses; rank responses; and annotate text, speech, image, and video
  
- Make logical decisions while performing tasks even when information is ambiguous
  
- Demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to pivot between requirement categories rapidly
  
- Support daily operational deliverables such as AHT, quality, and TAT for multiple task types
  
- Exhibit end-to-end data execution expertise for labeling tasks with minimal dependence on detailed instructions
  
- Contribute to root cause analysis, identify error patterns, and propose solutions to improve labeling quality
  
- Identify day-to-day process and SOP or tool issues and suggest changes to unblock operations
  
- Provide floor support to clarify internal queries during execution as needed

## A day in the life

We are seeking an ML Data Associate (MLDA) to perform foundational labeling functions, such as dialogue evaluation on speech, text, audio, and video data, to assess and improve Alexa’s performance in everyday situations.

## About the team

The team works strictly in the office Monday through Friday with an eight-hour shift. We are constantly looking for ways to improve our capabilities and deliver the best product possible. The team is diverse, with regular meetings, trainings, and Amazon events throughout the year.

## Basic Qualifications

  
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
  
- CEFR C1+ or equivalent fluency in German
  
- Written and spoken English proficiency (CEFR B2+)
  
- Strong business writing skills with the ability to create reports, proposals, and professional correspondence
  
- Advanced reading comprehension and the ability to analyze complex business documents
  
- Analytical thinking and structured problem-solving capabilities
  
- Ability to interpret and implement detailed instructions across projects
  
- Proficient research skills with experience gathering and synthesizing information from multiple sources
  
- Proven attention to detail in managing complex tasks and documents

## Preferred Qualifications

  
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  
- Proven experience with demonstrated task execution ability
  
- Ability to leverage open-source resources effectively for research
  
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy
  
- Project coordination or management experience (for support functions teams)
  
- Experience managing stakeholder relationships across departments
  
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and common business applications
