At BBVA Spark, our Structured Debt Underwriting team plays a vital role in evaluating and facilitating credit solutions tailored for high-growth companies. Focused on the intersection of risk and innovation, this unit analyzes complex financial metrics and business plans to support strategic underwriting decisions.

As an Intern, you will work closely with experienced risk professionals to support the analysis of ongoing transactions, assist in the review of financial statements, and contribute to the preparation of internal assessment materials. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain practical exposure to the underwriting process and credit risk management, providing a solid foundation in how BBVA evaluates and supports the next generation of industry leaders.

## What are we looking for?

**Academic Background:** Penultimate-year undergraduate or Master’s students in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or other quantitatively oriented disciplines.

**Analytical Skills:** Strong interest in finance and risk analysis, with a focus on high-growth companies.

**Languages:** Full professional proficiency in English (Mandatory).

**IT Skills:** Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

## Key Responsibilities (Support & Training focus)

### Financial & Risk Analysis Support

  
- Assist in the review and organization of financial information derived from business plans and financial statements.
  
- Support the team in analyzing key financial metrics to contribute to the assessment of credit risk.
  
- Assist in the preparation of internal materials and presentations for risk evaluation purposes.

### Deal & Underwriting Support

  
- Support the team in the analysis of ongoing transactions by helping to organize relevant information and documentation.
  
- Assist in the preparation of summaries and internal documentation related to deal assessment.
  
- Help ensure that all required documentation for underwriting processes is properly structured and organized.

### Team & Administrative Support

  
- Support the team in gathering basic documentation required for internal assessment processes.
  
- Support day-to-day team activities, including routine documentation tasks and general administrative assistance.
