## Role details

## Job Scope

  
- Use lab-based nano- and micro-focus CT techniques
  
- Collect and process X-ray data for use by other engineers
  
- Operate CT and 2D X-ray machines
  
- Focus heavily on CT data collection and processing
  
- Perform equipment/tool preventative maintenance and troubleshooting
  
- Position may require evening and weekend work

## Education

  
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field; or equivalent education preferred

## Skills and Experience

  
- Strong written, visual, and verbal communication skills
  
- Excellent attention to detail and curiosity
  
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly
  
- Hands-on approach to problem solving
  
- Ability to manage shifting priorities
  
- Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain interdepartmental relationships
  
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  
- Familiarity with failure analysis techniques such as Optical Microscopy, X-ray/CT, XRD, SEM, EDS, FIB, FTIR, GCMS, etc. is a plus
