NPI Product Qualifications
- Integrate AI-assisted tool and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one scope of work.
- Execute the assembly process effectively for first New Product Introduction (NPI) success and smooth transfer from NPI to High Volume Manufacturing (HVM).
- Qualify NPI products and packages that proliferate from pilot to planned timelines.
- Provide full support for NPI business processes, including Technical Risk Assessment (TRA), SPC, FMEA, Quality Control Plan (QCP), risk mitigation, and documentation.
- Deliver Best In Class (BIC) yield and cost for NPI with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) packaging solutions, process guidelines, and design rules.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams from NPI to HVM process transfer.
- Ensure on-time execution of NPI customer samples and engineering samples for new products and packages.
Process Owner Responsibilities — Continuous Improvement
- Act as process owner to perform on-time detection with data analysis for process yield improvement; lead defect elimination and continuous improvement actions using problem-solving methodologies, statistical analysis, and integrated solution decisions.
- Develop process recipes for BIC Units Per Hour (UPH), conducting process characterization to define parameters and boundaries.
- Continuously develop in-depth assembly process knowledge, understand process capability/tolerance/specification limits, and utilize key tools (FMEA, QCP, Machine Alarm) for assembly process characterization, development, and NPI.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration to implement global Best Known Methods (BKM), process recipes specifications, and recipe standardization/conversion.
Technology Enablement and Development – Process, Material, Equipment
- Participate in and support the Product Roadmap to enable key process capability and technology development for packaging solutions ready for the first qualified silicon delivery.
- Engage with equipment and material suppliers on a frequent basis (monthly or daily/weekly for process issues).
- Collaborate with suppliers on material and equipment roadmaps to align with market trends and competitor capabilities; ensure key process technology and capability enablement.
- Regularly review competitor analyses to understand market trends and technology boundaries.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
Education
Minimum bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Materials, Aerospace, Chemical, Electrical, Process, Semiconductor, or related Engineering discipline.
Experience
- Fresh graduates with a strong passion for semiconductor engineering are encouraged to apply. Leadership roles in academics or student organizations are a plus.
- 0–2 years of experience in semiconductor packaging, assembly, or process integration is desirable.
Soft Skills & Leadership Attributes
- Excellent data analysis and statistical analysis skills; ability to interpret data effectively.
- Ability to make sound data-driven decisions and apply due diligence in day-to-day tasks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Keen interest in semiconductor engineering; demonstrated leadership and potential for impact are highly desirable.
- Effective communication and collaboration across all levels; growth mindset and continuous learning.
- Internship or experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership and a track record of impact are desirable.
- Interest in and knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron is preferred.
- Ability to apply baseline digital fluency and AI literacy to use AI-enabled tools responsibly for research, analysis, content creation, problem-solving, operations, and business outcomes.
