Our Equity Capital Markets (ECM) team is responsible for the origination and execution of a variety of transaction types, including IPOs, rights issues, ABBs/blocks, equity-linked instruments, and equity private placements. As an Investment Banking Junior Analyst within the UK & Ireland ECM team, you will assist in preparing origination and marketing materials to pitch ideas and execute transactions for clients. You will be involved in the ECM coverage effort for a variety of corporate clients across industries. You will work closely with other corporate finance and capital markets teams within the bank (investment banking coverage including broking coverage, industry teams, mergers and acquisitions, debt capital markets, acquisition and leveraged finance, and equity derivatives). Morgan - Draft equity market updates to corporate clients on a regular basis, leveraging internal and external databases (Bloomberg, Dealogic) - Liaise with equity syndicate, research, sales, and trading teams to gather market intelligence on an ad hoc basis - Conduct investor targeting exercises and collect investor feedback using various sources and internal teams (sales, syndicate, research, corporate access) - Work with corporate clients and transaction lawyers ## Required qualifications, capabilities and skills - Excellent academic credentials - Ability to multi-task, be organized and rigorous - Interest in capital markets and corporate finance - Ability to work within a team in a fast-moving, results-driven environment - Ability to interact effectively with sales, research analysts, corporate clients, and other banks as part of project groups - Ability to work independently and take initiative - Proficient quantitative and analytical skills, including PowerPoint and Excel - Excellent written and verbal communication skills This role entails regulated activity.
