## Role details

## Assistant / Senior (Quantitative Analytics and Treasury Services)

### Financial Services – Financial Accounting Advisory Services

EY offers a global platform with a collaborative culture, technology enablement, and opportunities to build a distinctive career. Join our Treasury Services team within the Financial Services - Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) practice to help clients enhance treasury strategy and governance, support hedge accounting initiatives, and deliver Treasury Management System (TMS) selection and implementation projects.

## The opportunity

Treasury functions are increasingly complex due to volatile FX and interest rate markets, evolving accounting and regulatory expectations, liquidity pressures, and stakeholder scrutiny. We are growing our Treasury Services team to support clients through treasury strategy, governance, hedge accounting, and TMS transformation initiatives. You will gain exposure to end-to-end treasury activities (cash and liquidity management, funding, FX and interest rate risk management, treasury controls and governance, banking and payments) and hedge accounting under IFRS/SFRS, as well as technology-enabled treasury transformations through TMS implementations.

Our Treasury Services team designs and embeds effective treasury frameworks, translates risk management objectives into practical hedging solutions, and delivers technology-enabled change. We collaborate with finance, risk, tax, and IT stakeholders to improve controls, transparency, and decision making.

## Your key responsibilities

### Treasury advisory

- Support clients in assessing and improving treasury operating models, policies, governance, controls, and performance metrics

- Assist in end-to-end treasury transformation journeys, including current-state diagnostics (processes, risks, controls, organization and technology) and future-state transformations

- Analyze cash and liquidity positions, funding structures, and banking arrangements; identify opportunities to optimise processes and reduce cost/risk

- Assist in FX and interest rate risk assessments, hedging strategy reviews, and development of risk management frameworks

### Hedge accounting advisory (IFRS/SFRS)

- Design and implement hedge accounting solutions, including designation documentation, risk management linkage, and control considerations

- Perform and/or review hedge effectiveness assessments (prospective and retrospective, where applicable), including quantitative analysis and interpretation of results

- Support accounting impact assessments and valuations for hedging instruments and hedged items (e.g., FX forwards, swaps, debt instruments), and assist stakeholder communications

- Perform independent derivative valuation and quantitative analysis to support audit/assurance engagements (explaining valuation differences by analyzing inputs, model choices, assumptions, and sensitivities)

### Treasury Management System (TMS) project management and implementation

- Support TMS vendor selection and implementation programmes, including requirements gathering, vendor evaluation, solution design, testing, training, and go-live readiness

- Coordinate project deliverables across business and IT workstreams (e.g., cash management, deals, accounting, interfaces, bank connectivity, reporting)

- Develop high-quality project documentation and client deliverables (e.g., process maps, functional specifications, test scripts, status reports)

### General

- Maintain positive, productive relationships with clients and internal stakeholders

- Take ownership of assigned workstreams, manage timelines, and proactively communicate progress, risks, and dependencies

- Coach and support junior team members through on-the-job guidance and review of work products

## Skills and attributes for success

- Strong understanding (or demonstrated interest) in corporate treasury and financial risk management (FX, interest rate, liquidity, funding)

- Working knowledge of hedge accounting under IFRS/SFRS or willingness to develop quickly

- Project management discipline with comfort working across business and technology stakeholders

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail

- Strong written and verbal communication; ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences

- Team-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities, and deliver quality outputs in a fast-paced environment

- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple engagements

## The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate the following

### Within 6 months

- Understand core treasury products and processes (cash, funding, FX/IR hedging) and contribute independently to defined workstreams

- Prepare client-ready materials (process maps, policy summaries, hedge documentation drafts, quantitative analyses) to support recommendations

- Support TMS project activities (requirements workshops, test script preparation, UAT support, issue tracking, status reporting)

### Within 1 year

- Lead smaller workstreams, manage day-to-day client interactions, and deliver high-quality outputs under tight deadlines

- Support hedge accounting implementations end-to-end, including effectiveness testing approach, control considerations, and documentation

- Contribute to TMS implementation delivery through functional design support, testing coordination, and go-live readiness

## Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline

- Relevant experience in corporate treasury, finance/accounting advisory, risk management, banking, or treasury technology/projects (assistant/senior level depending on experience)

- A fresh graduate or a minimum of 1 year of non-treasury related experience with demonstrated interest in corporate treasury and/or hedge accounting will be considered

- A solid understanding of financial instruments used in treasury (e.g., FX forwards, swaps, options, debt instruments) and their accounting implications

- Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with data analysis and/or treasury tools is an advantage

### Ideally, you’ll also have

- Hands-on experience in corporate treasury (cash management, funding, financial risk management, banking and payments)

- Experience supporting hedge accounting under IFRS/SFRS (including documentation and effectiveness testing) and/or financial instruments accounting advisory

- Exposure to Treasury Management Systems (e.g., Kyriba, SAP Treasury, Quantum, FIS, ION, Reval) and/or bank connectivity (SWIFT, host-to-host)

- Professional qualifications such as ACCA/CPA, CFA, CTP, or relevant project management certification are advantageous

## What we look for

Highly motivated individuals with excellent analytical skills and the ability to prioritize shifting workloads in a rapidly changing industry. An effective communicator, you’ll be a confident team player who collaborates with people from various teams while developing your career in a dynamic organization. The successful candidate should stay at the cutting edge of the latest financial instruments valuation techniques, business developments, and accounting standards, and respond quickly to issues in a global, evolving economy.
