In addition, the Analyst will have opportunities to work on transactions with the broader Strategic Investors Group (SIG) IB team. You will be a key player in the execution of the firm’s business and will work with expert professionals at the heart of a leading global investment bank. The combined responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following: ## Job Responsibilities - Develop models, including financial statements and data, and key outputs, using discounted cash flow, merger, accretion/dilution, leveraged buyout, comparable company, comparable transaction and sum-of-the-parts analyses - Market, structure and execute corporate finance deals, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, spin-offs and debt/equity financings - Prepare pitch documents for all Investment Banking products, including sell-side and buy-side M&A, equity and debt capital raising, and buy-side financing - Assist with client prospecting, including researching families and family investment firms and understanding JPMorgan relationships - Act in a secondary coverage capacity for key focus accounts, including idea generation and client interaction/relationship building - Help prepare marketing materials for meetings with clients and prospects - Engage in significant direct interaction with senior coverage and product bankers in the Investment Bank, Private Bank and Commercial Bank ## Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities - Bachelor's degree - Prior work experience in an investment banking front office or related role - Strong accounting, finance, quantitative and business writing skills, including knowledge of corporate finance with experience in analyzing company financials - Understanding of the transaction cycle and the steps in the process; execution oriented - Impeccable communication with the ability to interact effectively with senior professionals, clients and stakeholders in other lines of business - Highly independent, proactive and entrepreneurial with strong interest in building a new business - Intellectual curiosity, independent research and creativity, strong work ethic, integrity and judgment - Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills; ability to convey concepts concisely and defend their validity with high attention to detail - Very strong financial modeling/valuation and analytical skills, including DCF, LBO, trading comparables, precedent transactions, accretion/dilution, value creation analysis, financing models, three-statement models and pro forma models - Excellent technology skills with superior Excel and PowerPoint abilities and ability to quickly learn new software ## About JPMorgan Chase JPMorgan Chase, one of the oldest financial institutions, offers innovative financial solutions to millions of consumers, small businesses and many of the world’s most prominent corporate, institutional and government clients under the JPMorgan Chase brands.
