As a candidate, you are encouraged to ask compensation related questions and have an open dialogue with your recruiter who can provide you more specific details for this role. ## Line of Business **Line of Business:** Personal & Commercial Banking ## Responsibilities ### Position Overview The Teller I works in a TD Store location and plays a key role in delivering legendary customer experiences while processing everyday banking transactions with accuracy and efficiency, while educating customers on TD's products and services or referring them to a partner for specialized solutions. ### Depth & Scope - Executes TD's Brand promise to customers by consistently delivering a Legendary Customer experience in the Store - Performs customer transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan and safe deposit box payments efficiently - Processes cash transactions such as cashing checks, verifying currency, balancing cash drawer, and night deposits with high accuracy - Responds to and resolves customer inquiries and concerns using standard procedures; escalates to management as necessary - Engages in lobby leadership by orchestrating customer flow, welcoming customers, and guiding them appropriately - Understands customer banking preferences and educates customers on self-service/digital options that meet their needs - Acts as an advocate for the customer by conducting needs-based conversations; offers financial & digital solutions or refers to the appropriate partner to provide solutions - Makes sound decisions and provides timely problem resolution; escalates more difficult issues to management - Ensures compliance with company guidelines and regulations (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act) to minimize risk and protect the customer - Verifies customers' identities by following authentication policies & procedures - Balances cash drawers, ATMs, and Teller Cash Dispensers (TCDs) / Teller Cash Recyclers (TCRs) as necessary - Adheres to safe deposit box procedures/operations and guidelines - Responsible for cash drawers and vaults, maintaining appropriate cash limits and securing cash at all times - Ensures confidential customer information is securely stored throughout the day - Follows dual control and all security and audit measures to minimize potential loss - Utilizes bank tools and processes to detect, address, and prevent fraud - Completes required in-classroom and online training by established due dates ## Education & Experience - High school diploma or GED - 6 months work-related experience preferred; or equivalent demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military experience - Ability to work during operating hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as scheduled - Demonstrated customer service skills preferred - Strong organizational skills - Detail-oriented - Ability to function in a fast-paced and changing environment - Excellent communication skills with the ability to be concise, clear, and consistent ## Physical Requirements Work involves sedentary to light activity with the following considerations: occasional lifting (under 25 lbs and over 25 lbs), frequent standing, continuous concentration, and routine use of standard office equipment. Domestic travel is occasional; international travel is never. Repetitive tasks such as reading, writing, and basic arithmetic are required.
