Position Overview

Apollo is seeking an Analyst or Associate to join its Global Corporate Credit investment team for the Media and Telecom vertical. The candidate will work as part of the Corporate Credit team on all stages of the investment process and will focus on new and existing investments across all sub-sectors of M&T such as telecommunications, cable, satellite, broadcasting, out-of-home, entertainment, and publishing. The investment professional will work on credit opportunities spanning from performing loans/bonds to special situations credit opportunities including private credit. The candidate will contribute to various activities including initial due diligence, investment committee processes, and monitoring and reporting to support PMs across the Apollo Credit platform.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Partner with the senior industry head to provide analytical and project support for all investment-related activities, including new issues, secondary activity, and portfolio monitoring.
  • Daily responsibilities include modeling, quantitative financial analysis, financial and business due diligence, valuation analysis, credit agreement review, quarterly reporting, investment committee memo creation, and thematic report development.
  • Collaborate with the sector team to develop investment committee memoranda, materials for senior team members, and ad hoc projects including portfolio monitoring, reporting, and investor requests.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 1–3 years of investment banking / capital markets experience (e.g., Investment Banking, Leveraged Finance, Financial Sponsors, Credit Research and Restructuring) or buy-side credit investing experience.
  • Strong interest in credit investing.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills (top-tier Excel and PowerPoint skills are a must).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A strong work ethic and an eager-to-learn attitude.
  • Nimble and flexible to balance multiple tasks simultaneously, with strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required.
