## Overview

MSCI is a global leader in investment decision support tools and services, powering better investment decisions through data, technology, and research. We are seeking a self-motivated and results-driven junior salesperson to join our Hedge Fund and Market Maker Client Coverage team in London. This is a rare opportunity to join a high-impact team focused on driving new business and deepening relationships within the hedge fund and market maker segment. You’ll collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external prospects to position MSCI’s globally renowned index solutions. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives on uncovering opportunities and solving client challenges with insight and creativity.

## Responsibilities

  
- Drive New Business: Identify and qualify opportunities to expand MSCI’s footprint with hedge funds and market makers across EMEA.
  
- Client Engagement: Engage prospects through strategic outreach, including email, calls, and in-person meetings, and lead meaningful discovery conversations to align MSCI solutions with client needs.
  
- End-to-End Relationship Management: Manage the full client lifecycle, from initial engagement and presentations to contract negotiation and deal closure.
  
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with Product Management, Client Service, Marketing, Legal, and Sales colleagues to ensure strategic alignment and client satisfaction.
  
- Partner with Senior Sales Colleagues: Collaborate on strategy, deal development, and client management to ensure a seamless and effective sales process.

## Requirements & Qualifications

  
- Experience: 1–3 years in sales. Prior exposure to hedge funds and/or market makers is a plus; former sell-side/financial services experience is beneficial.
  
- Self-Motivated and Proactive: Takes initiative, is intellectually curious, and follows through on opportunities.
  
- Strong Communication Skills: Able to articulate ideas clearly, engage clients confidently, and adapt messaging to different audiences.
  
- Commercial Mindset: Demonstrates interest in business development and is motivated by goals, metrics, and growth.
  
- Problem-Solving Ability: Approaches challenges with curiosity and logic, and provides practical, client-focused solutions.
  
- Organised and Detail-Oriented: Manages time effectively, tracks outreach and tasks, and ensures nothing slips through the cracks.
  
- Tech Comfort: Familiarity with Salesforce and ChatGPT.
