This role sits at the intersection of banking, fintech, and corporate strategy — offering exposure to high level business planning, post merger integration (PMI) activities, and engagement with digital fintech companies across the region. You will work closely with teams supporting Partner Banks, Global Corporate & Investment Banking (GCIB), and Transaction Banking (TB), while also helping drive synergy creation and co-creation activities between MUFG, Partner Banks, and fintech innovators. You will also play a key role in organizing the MUFG Fintech Festival — a flagship event involving multi-stakeholder coordination and project management. ### Strategic & Business Planning Support - Assist in initiatives that strengthen collaboration with Partner Banks, GCIB, and TB. - Conduct market and competitor research focused on fintech, digital banking, and emerging technologies. - Help prepare management reports, strategy papers, and business proposals. ### Fintech Ecosystem, Co Creation & Synergy Development - Research and analyze the business models of digital fintech companies. - Identify needs, gaps, and strategic opportunities for business matching between fintech companies, MUFG, Partner Banks, and external players. - Support the planning and execution of co-creation activities and partnership initiatives. ### Post Merger Integration (PMI) Activities - Support PMI workstreams for fintech subsidiaries, including coordination, documentation, and progress tracking. - Assist in analyzing synergy opportunities and integration milestones. ### Financial & Market Analysis - Conduct periodic financial projections and simple modelling to support strategic recommendations. - Summarize market developments into concise insights for internal stakeholders. ### MUFG Fintech Festival Support - Help coordinate stakeholders (internal teams, fintech companies, vendors, partner banks, regulators). - Assist with event programming, logistics, vendor negotiations, and overall project management. ## Job Requirements - Current undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, or related fields. - Strong analytical and research skills — able to break down complex business models and market trends. - Good financial literacy; able to support simple financial projections and business case analysis. - Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholders. - Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple tasks. - Demonstrated curiosity about fintech, digital innovation, and emerging technologies. - Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. - Familiarity with basic financial modelling or data analysis tools is a bonus. - 1–2 prior internships in banking, consulting, fintech, or strategy-related roles is advantageous but not required. - Experience supporting events, projects, or research assignments is a plus. ## Important Notes - Interested applicants will be required to submit CV and Cover Letter. - Please submit your details via our early careers website at Careers (myworkdayjobs.com). - Only shortlisted applicants will be notified.
