## General Summary

**Equipment Operation:**

  
- Operate and monitor Tape and Reel packaging machines, ensuring efficient and accurate production.
  
- Perform setup and adjustments on equipment to meet production specifications.

**Maintenance and Troubleshooting:**

  
- Conduct routine maintenance on Tape and Reel equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment (Tape and Reel, vacuum sealing, strapping machine, etc.) issues.
  
- Maintain the machine for continuous operation.
  
- Overview machine performance and compile machine downtime.
  
- Plan and implement the machine upgrade.
  
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and rectify any machine-related issues.
  
- Support the machine upgrade.
  
- Troubleshoot and repair pick-and-place machines, vacuum machines, and strapping machines.
  
- Buy off for the machine upgrade.
  
- Maintain the machine’s recipe.
  
- Maintain and back up the machine’s logs and software.

**Machine Preventive / Predictive Maintenance**

  
- Execute periodic preventive maintenance on the machines.
  
- Overview machine performance, ensuring full support of the machine to the operation.
  
- Replace faulty machine parts.
  
- Record the log of preventive maintenance for the machines.
  
- Manage the equipment for preventive maintenance use.
  
- Plan and perform predictive maintenance by analyzing machine performance.
  
- Ensure minimal breakdowns and no disruptions to operations.

**Spare Part Management**

  
- Vendor sourcing and RFQ for spares with proper vetting and analysis.
  
- Procurement of necessary machine spare parts.
  
- Setup for new equipment and tools.
  
- Keep records of machine spare parts.
  
- Track consumption of spares and maintain minimum spare parts levels.
  
- Source alternate spares to improve spare parts life.
  
- Track lifespan of spares and lead improvement projects to increase lifespan.
  
- Oversee and manage replacement of spare parts.
  
- Maintain a minimum quantity of spare parts.

**Process / Machine Development**

  
- Create label program files based on customer requirements.
  
- Enhance processes for Tape and Reel packaging, ensuring alignment with product specifications and quality standards.
  
- Create and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, process flows, and control plans.
  
- Evaluate new materials and technologies that can enhance process capabilities.
  
- Perform new product, materials, machine qualification and buy-off.
  
- Conduct and arrange training and certification for operators.

**Quality Assurance**

  
- Liaise with Quality Assurance on new package requirements.
  
- Review and update BOM for customer requirements on new products/specifications.
  
- Send FAI reports for new packages.
  
- Support investigations of internal/external customer complaints to identify root causes and advise appropriate solutions.
  
- Perform product low-yield and reject verifications analysis.
  
- Maintain responsibility for specification updates for any new process and product qualification.
  
- Perform new product, materials, machine qualification and buy-off.

## Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.

OR

• Associate's degree and 1+ year of Engineering Technician or related work experience.

OR

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of Engineering Technician or related work experience.

**Physical Requirements:**

  
- Frequently transports and installs equipment weighing at least 25 lbs.
