## Overview

The Research division of Flux seeks an entry-level Oil Analyst to join their desk. The team provides market expertise on the financial oil market. This role is London-based, on-site 5 days per week, and we are looking for someone who can start immediately.

## Responsibilities

  
- Collect, analyse and interpret information and data across financial oil and refined products markets
  
- Present findings in reports, infographics, and on-screen presentations
  
- Support the analytics team in developing scientific approaches to interpreting financial flows and supply & demand tools
  
- Actively participate in projects to improve processes and procedures for developing reports
  
- Build relationships with potential clients across the industry

## Requirements

  
- Excellent MS skills, including fluency with Excel formulas and functions
  
- Strong mathematical and analytical abilities with a passion for data analysis, commodities, and financial markets
  
- Outstanding English written skills
  
- Comfort with being on camera and participating in regular research update podcasts
  
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
  
- Ambitious individual with a track record of exceeding targets
  
- Confidence in building relationships over the phone
  
- Prior experience or interest in the financial oil and gas sector and knowledge of oil derivatives is advantageous
  
- Knowledge of coding (e.g., Python, Power BI, and other relevant data analytics software) is desirable but not essential
