## Overview

SGX Group Internship Program offers interns the unique experience of gaining insights into the Exchange business and the finance value chain. You will be immersed in specialist functions from Day 1, contributing to real-time work in a fast-paced environment. SGX is Asia’s leading and trusted securities and derivatives market infrastructure, operating equity, fixed income, currency, and commodity markets to high regulatory standards, with a multi-asset sustainability platform and extensive services across listing, trading, clearing, settlement, depository, and data services.

## Program Details

Areas: Capital Markets — Healthcare, Industrials, Enterprise Tech

Note: Leave of Absence (LOA) may be required to participate in the internship.

## What the intern can learn

  
- Exposure to corporate/investment banking, equity research, and marketing of financial services.
  
- Experience with SGX’s capital markets coverage, including equity and debt securities, and client management with SGX-listed companies and institutional clients.
  
- Networking opportunities with market participants through corporate events and meetings.
  
- Potential collaboration with other SGX departments on projects and events.

## Role and Responsibilities

The intern will primarily focus on marketing and business/product development in equity capital markets (ECM) and assist the team with:

  
- Create/update internal databases/files and periodic internal reports.
  
- Prepare pitch decks, meeting briefs, and meeting minutes.
  
- Conduct desktop research on market and industry trends; gather and analyze information/data for the team's marketing/strategy development (e.g., opportunities, leads, targets).
  
- Support stakeholder engagement with companies, equity/bond issuers, market professionals, government agencies, investors, and family offices.
  
- Assist in organizing marketing/corporate/client engagement events (virtual and in-person) and post-event activities (e.g., social media).
  
- Handle ad hoc assignments required by the team.
  
- Work on marketing and business/product development efforts in debt capital markets and corporate institutional client engagements as opportunities arise.

## Knowledge and Skills Requirements

  
- Commit to the agreed internship period.
  
- Strong written and spoken English proficiency.
  
- Ability to read, write, and speak Chinese.
  
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with social media and other media applications.
  
- Detail-oriented and numerically literate.
  
- Able to multi-task, work independently, and meet deadlines.
