## Intern – Manufacturing (CVD Equipment Productivity)

**Location:** Fab 10N / X / A

**Department:** Manufacturing (Chemical Vapor Deposition)

**Project Title:** CVD Equipment Productivity Improvement

**Project Description:** This project focuses on identifying, analysing, and implementing productivity improvement opportunities related to Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) equipment within a semiconductor manufacturing environment. The intern will study existing equipment-related workflows and processes, apply structured problem-solving methodologies, and propose improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing technician productivity. The project emphasises data-driven analysis and engineering-based solutions to achieve measurable productivity gains.

**Objective of the Project:** Quantify and achieve productivity improvements measured in man-hours saved per week through the development and implementation of engineering solutions related to CVD equipment processes.

**Project Scope:**

  
- Analyse current CVD equipment-related workflows and productivity drivers
  
- Identify opportunities for process, tooling, or system improvements
  
- Design and develop jigs, tools, or simple systems to enhance technician efficiency
  
- Validate improvement concepts through data collection and analysis
  
- Present findings, recommendations, and quantified productivity impact

**Learning Opportunities:**

  
- Exposure to semiconductor manufacturing operations and equipment engineering
  
- Application of industrial engineering and productivity improvement methodologies
  
- Hands-on experience in engineering solution development and validation
  
- Data analysis and presentation of quantified business impact

**Deliverable:**

  
- Demonstrate a minimum of **5 man-hours per week productivity savings** through validated improvement initiatives
  
- Final presentation summarising analysis, solutions developed, and achieved impact

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  
- High level of initiative and learning agility
  
- Ability to work independently in a structured engineering environment
