As a private partnership, we believe our ownership structure fosters a long-term view that aligns our perspectives with those of our clients. ## About the Role **Hedge Fund Investor Relations** at Wellington Management works closely with our Hedge Fund Investment teams, client relationship teams, and business colleagues across the firm to support our clients’ investment needs. Our hedge fund platform spans a wide range of strategies including equity long/short, global macro, credit long/short and multi-strategy. The function has three main objectives: ### Role and Responsibilities The Investment Analyst will work as part of one or more product coverage teams to contribute to the broad efforts of HF Investor Relations. The primary focus of the role is to provide analytical leverage to the team as well as be a point of contact for a variety of internal constituents regarding inquiries about the investment teams and products under coverage. - Perform analyses related to portfolio positioning, attribution and risk, market trends, competitive positioning, and pricing. - Create and maintain marketing materials; review and update RFPs; respond to investor and prospect questions. - Provide monthly and quarterly performance and exposure analysis; handle general flow data and analysis. - Collaborate with investment directors and specialists; contribute to reviewing and evaluating the integrity of hedge fund data, analytics, and materials; support product success in the marketplace. The role requires demonstrated skills or knowledge of alternatives products, data analysis, performance and risk analysis; ability to manage and analyze data and create efficient workflows. Excellent Excel skills, the ability to manage large data sets, attention to detail, and strong follow-up and communication skills are required. ### Qualifications Success in the role requires an interest in alternative investments, attention to detail, and proficiency in data procurement and analysis. A positive, collegial attitude and high level of professionalism are essential, as are initiative and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with tight deadlines. We seek individuals who possess analytical skills and the ability to organize and interpret investment data to reach conclusions, as well as effective verbal and written communication skills. Further, the ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: - 1–2 years of directly relevant experience - A university degree with strong academic credentials; finance, accounting or business-related majors preferred - Strong technical skills and mastery of MS Excel - Demonstrated analytical skills including the ability to organize and synthesize data to reach conclusions - Strong communication skills, a high work ethic and willingness to hit the ground running - Attention to detail combined with a solutions-oriented mindset - Ability to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings - Strong ownership, accountability and follow-through - Ability to work both independently and in collaboration with a global team - Thoroughness, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize - Grace under pressure with an ability to adapt to get things done Not sure you meet 100% of our qualifications?
