## Role Summary

**Role:** Merrill Advisor Development Program – Financial Advisor

You will work with high-net-worth individuals to identify needs, develop relationships, review financial goals, and deliver comprehensive recommendations aligned with the goals of both existing and prospective clients. You’ll collaborate with and be mentored by Merrill Financial Advisor Teams to build experience and promote portfolio growth.

## Key Responsibilities

  
- Develop a book of business to meet and exceed established performance goals
  
- Prioritize sourcing prospective clients, capitalize on referrals, assess client needs, refer to internal specialists, and deliver customized solutions
  
- Recommend investment products and services suitable for prospects based on objectives, resources, time horizon, risk profile, and preferences
  
- Balance investment growth, referrals, client follow-up, prospecting, administrative compliance, and personal development
  
- Organize and manage resources (time, people, budget) to run a productive practice
  
- Seek the expertise of specialists to identify planning and investment strategies for clients
  
- Complete mandated training, assessments, performance goals, and continuing education requirements

## Responsibilities

  
- Handle inbound inquiries from leads regarding Merrill offerings
  
- Position Merrill and Bank of America’s extensive capabilities
  
- Collect necessary client profile data and follow standard KYC procedures to open accounts as appropriate
  
- Serve as interim Financial Advisor, recommending suitable investment products and services and servicing client accounts
  
- Document all client interactions and opportunities within Salesforce accurately

## Required Qualifications

  
- Currently holds Series 7 & 66 licenses (63 & 65 in lieu of 66)
  
- Minimum of one year of experience in the financial services industry and/or a sales environment with documented results
  
- Minimum of one year of experience in the investments industry, including investment training and knowledge of investment products and services
  
- Proven ability to engage with and influence others
  
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  
- Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to quickly build trust and credibility
  
- Ability to assess needs and recommend appropriate solutions
  
- Ability to collaborate with a team and key partners
  
- Active listening and probing skills to gain clarity and understanding
  
- Goal-oriented and results-driven
  
- Entrepreneurial mindset with proven ability to source clients through prospecting and networking
  
- Ability to work in an environment where compensation is largely performance-based

## Regulatory Note

This position is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements. All employees engaged in residential loan mortgage originations must register with the federal registry system and remain in good standing. You will be required to register and undergo the SAFE Act background check and registration process. Failure to obtain or maintain SAFE Act registration may result in termination.

## Pay Transparency & Benefits

**Pay Range:** $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 annualized salary, with offers determined based on experience, education, and skill set.

**Incentives:** Formulaic incentive eligible. Eligible for incentives under the specific line of business incentive plan provisions. Formulaic plans may include monthly, quarterly, or annual opportunities. Incentives are earned based on performance against defined metrics.
