All team members at Jefferies pursue excellence with a collaborative spirit and the highest levels of integrity. ## What we look for in a candidate - Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously. - Professionalism and strong client management skills, along with strong technical, written and verbal communication abilities. - Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines, be adaptable, and work independently or as part of a team. - A fast-paced, challenging and intellectually stimulating work environment. ## Equity Research: responsibilities and opportunities As part of the Equity Research division, Summer Analysts typically: - Support senior analysts in building, maintaining and analyzing financial models to evaluate company fundamentals and industry dynamics. - Conduct data gathering and market research, including leveraging AI tools for faster, higher-quality insights, to support investment views. - Assist in drafting research reports, presentations and thematic deep dives, using AI-enabled workflows to enhance clarity, speed and analytical depth. - Monitor company news flow, earnings results and sector developments to keep research outputs timely, differentiated and actionable. Candidates should have a strong academic background with a minimum GPA of 3.6 or equivalent. For roles based in Hong Kong, written and spoken Mandarin skills are preferred. While a background in accounting or finance can be helpful, we hire Summer Analysts from a wide range of disciplines, including science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Students in their penultimate year of university with an anticipated graduation date of Spring-Summer 2027 may apply for the Summer Analyst Program. ## Equity Research at Jefferies Jefferies’ Global Equity Research team consists of over 140 analysts covering more than 3,800 stocks from research centers around the world, including London, Hong Kong, Mumbai, Singapore, Tokyo, Houston, Nashville, New York and San Francisco. The team covers Economics & Strategy, Business Services, Consumer, Energy, Financial Services, Insurance, Healthcare, Industrials, Internet and Interactive Entertainment, Maritime, Metals & Mining, MLPs, REITs, Technology, Telecommunications, Travel & Leisure and Utilities. Analysts conduct fundamental research, including data collection and analysis of suppliers, vendors and customers.
