Job Description

Micron is seeking a dedicated and ambitious Contamination Control Technician to join our team at FAB 10. As a key player in environmental quality control, you will collaborate with Facilities, Equipment, Fab Support, Production Teams, and area engineering teams. Your responsibilities include environmental sampling, quality control checks, contamination troubleshooting, and maintenance of state-of-the-art sensors to prevent environmental/chemical contamination (such as particle, airborne molecular contamination, and liquid particle contamination) in the manufacturing process. You will adhere to world-class standards and implement coordinated reaction mechanisms to prevent fab excursions.

Responsibilities

• Respond to ERT and Security alerts and ensure gowning room logistics are adequate during evacuations.
• Respond to contamination alarms and report abnormal conditions to engineering and other stakeholders.
• Sample various areas of the Fab for contamination (swab, bacteria, airborne and liquid particles, and airborne molecular contamination) and coordinate with the chemical lab for analysis and timely data delivery.
• Ensure real-time monitoring systems are operating and recording properly.
• Conduct primary investigations on contamination issues and provide data to engineering for analysis.
• Investigate contamination control analyzers and their performance.
• Complete special projects and support contamination control engineering initiatives.
• Ensure team members follow approved cleanroom protocols.
• Serve as contamination control resources to the Fab, Probe, Facilities, and other supporting groups.
• Contribute to area responsibilities and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Diploma or related field preferred.
• Candidates without experience are welcome to apply.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with a diverse range of people.
• Basic proficiency in PC skills, including MS Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Basic knowledge of analytical techniques (e.g., ion chromatography, gas chromatography, particle analyzers) is a plus.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and be open to night shifts.
