### Brief Overview

The Corporate Development team plays an important role in developing SGX Group’s corporate strategy. The team focuses on strategic thinking and result-oriented project management to support the organization in delivering on its strategic ambitions.

### Learning Objectives

  
- Corporate Strategy: Support the development of strategic plans, conduct market research, and propose solutions for challenges impeding our strategic ambitions
  
- Financial Analysis: Financial modeling, cashflow forecasting, business valuation
  
- Presentation Skills: Support the development of presentations for stakeholders, senior management and the Board
  
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with business and support function teams within the organization and external parties (consultants, targets) to deliver impactful outcomes for projects

## Job Description

  
- Assist with SGX Group’s strategic planning and corporate development initiatives
  
- Support with evaluation of new investment opportunities (quantitative and qualitative)
  
- Support Corporate Finance related activities and risk assessment of new initiative projects, strategic investments and M&A strategies
  
- Conduct market research, perform competitor analysis and analyze industry trends
  
- Conduct financial analysis for various strategic initiatives and investments
  
- Prepare reports on portfolio companies for update to the investment committee

## Knowledge and Skills Requirements

  
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel (financial modeling, data analysis) and PowerPoint (presentation structuring and design)
  
- Strong research abilities, with a keen interest in capital markets, corporate strategy, and financial services
  
- Ability to synthesize complex information into clear and concise summaries
  
- Self-starter with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks
  
- Prior internship experience in consulting, investment banking, corporate finance, or related fields is a plus
