For more information, visit www.gf.com. ## Position Contamination Free Manufacturing Associate Engineer As a Contamination Free Manufacturing Associate Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include maintaining and planning Airborne Molecular Contamination (AMC) detection systems to ensure a cleanroom environment and process tool mini-environments are under control and free from contamination. You will apply knowledge of AMC, volatile organic compounds, particulates, humidity, and temperature to mitigate potential excursions and minimize their impact on production wafers due to environmental changes. You will regularly interact with Facilities, chemical lab personnel, module equipment teams, and contractors to fulfill requests, share information, and troubleshoot environmental alarms. This role will assist engineers in monitoring fab environment and preventing environmental excursions. This position requires the ability to work 12-hour shifts (day/night) and to excel whether working independently or as part of a team. Required skills/abilities include data analysis, strategic planning, reporting & presentation, and a continuous improvement mindset. ## Essential Responsibilities - Serve as shift lead in daily operations related to cleanroom environment issues. - Work with modules to troubleshoot the source of contamination for AMC and mechanical alarms. - Analyze charts to identify root causes of contamination for upticks or baseline drift caused by internal or external factors. - Lead and guide technicians/operators to perform activities beyond routine duties. - Prepare incident reports with root cause findings for AMC and mechanical alarms. - Escalate to modules for environmental CAS activation based on the defined alarm escalation guidelines if AMC or mechanical alarms are triggered. - Ensure hardware and software of monitoring systems are performing normally and take proactive action to resolve issues. - Plan and follow up on annual calibration and preventive maintenance of AMC systems and Mini-E measurement tools with vendors. - Perform hardware parts changes and replacements for AMC detection systems. ## Other Responsibilities - Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs. ## Qualifications & Requirements - Ability to work 12-hour shift (day/night). - Strong data analysis, strategic planning, and reporting/presentation skills. - Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. - Experience interacting with facilities, chemical labs, equipment modules, and contractors; troubleshooting environmental alarms. - Knowledge of airborne molecular contamination, volatile organic compounds, particulates, humidity, and temperature control.
