## ING in Asia Pacific

In Asia Pacific, ING offers wholesale banking across 11 markets: Australia, China, Hong Kong SAR, India, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, and Vietnam.

ING provides both retail and wholesale banking services in Australia. The regional presence includes a 13% stake in Bank of Beijing, China, and a ~23% stake in TMBThanachart Bank in Thailand. Singapore serves as the regional headquarters for ING's Wholesale Banking (WB) business in Asia Pacific, covering all WB lines including Financial Markets, Strategic Products, Sectors, Lending, Transaction Services, and related support functions.

## Commodities, Food & Agribusiness (CF&A) at ING

CF&A is a global team of more than 250 professionals dedicated to providing financial solutions to clients involved in trading physical commodities (energy, metals and minerals, and agriculture), as well as producers and processors of metals and minerals, and food and agricultural products. This internship will focus specifically on clients active in the Food, Beverage & Agribusiness (FB&A) subsectors in APAC.

## FB&A APAC

FB&A is a newly established sector coverage team at ING Singapore, dedicated to strengthening relationships with key FB&A players across the region. The team emphasizes product-agnostic deal origination and strategic dialogue with clients, leveraging ING’s global network and wholesale product suite to deliver client value. Coverage spans ING’s 11 core markets across APAC and covers the entire food & agri value chain, including upstream origination (farm inputs, grains & oilseeds), farming and processing (dairy, animal protein, fresh produce), and downstream consumer activities (branded F&B products, food retail, foodservice, food logistics, food packaging). The team coordinates with other regions to support ING’s global FB&A clients in APAC and contributes to sustainable business models aligned with ING’s sustainability leadership.

## What would you be doing?

We are looking for an intern to join the CF&A team, working alongside relationship managers and deal principals. The intern will be part of client deal teams and assist with:

  
- Preparation of client origination and strategic pitches
  
- In-depth financial and benchmarking analysis
  
- Research on prospect companies and strategy papers
  
- Internal reports and dashboards for reporting and research purposes
  
- Other ad hoc projects

## Qualities, skills and criteria

We are seeking a passionate individual who meets the following criteria:

  
- You should have legal work rights in Singapore
  
- Strong interest in commodity markets
  
- Familiarity with Excel (including Visual Basic) and PowerPoint
  
- Strong financial and analytical skills
  
- Experience with data visualization
  
- Hands-on, proactive mentality
  
- Good communication and interpersonal skills; strong team player
  
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
