## Offer Summary

Interns in the Ardian Infrastructure team support the identification, analysis and execution of potential investment opportunities, as well as the management of existing portfolio assets. They will gain a comprehensive understanding of infrastructure private equity investment, from deal sourcing and execution to asset and client management. Responsibilities include supporting investment teams in financial analysis, valuation, and modeling, analyzing new deal opportunities, and assisting with asset management activities such as debt refinancing and implementing growth initiatives.

Required skills include knowledge of financial analysis, valuation techniques, and modeling, along with proficiency in MS Office suite and strong interpersonal skills. Candidates should have completed or be in the process of completing a degree from a leading university or business school, and previous internships in areas such as private equity, M&A, or structured finance are beneficial. Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing, are essential, as interns will interact with various internal and external stakeholders, including Ardian clients, team members, and external parties, often across different geographical locations. Fluency in English is also required.

## The role

Interns in the Ardian Infrastructure team assist in the identification, analysis and execution of potential investment opportunities as well as asset management of existing portfolio assets. The internship will provide a global view on the world of infrastructure private equity investment from deal sourcing and execution to asset management and client management.

## Job Responsibilities

The intern will have significant responsibilities from day one and become an integral part of the team. Key responsibilities include:

  
- Supporting investment teams in financial analysis and valuation, financial modelling, and preparation of internal deal material including investment memoranda and valuation presentations.
  
- Financial modelling (Excel): reviewing and creating financial models including future business forecasts, valuation and return analysis, as well as sensitivity analysis.
  
- Analysis of new deal opportunities and investment perimeters (countries, sectors) through ad-hoc reviews.
  
- Supporting the Ardian Infrastructure team's asset management activities, which may include debt refinancing or working with management teams and external advisors to implement new growth initiatives.
  
- Supporting the co-investment team by liaising with Ardian deal teams and potential co-investors.
  
- Preparing regular asset management reporting and participating in communications to Ardian clients.

## Required skills

  
- Knowledge of financial statement analysis and valuation techniques.
  
- Knowledge of financial modelling and LBO structuring.
  
- Competency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  
- Competency in basic financial modelling.
  
- A broad set of quantitative, qualitative and interpersonal skills; strong team player able to work under pressure.
  
- Intellectual rigor and discipline.
  
- Ability to organize and perform work efficiently.

## Profile

  
- Degree either completed or due to complete from a leading university or business school. This position is potentially conducive to a full-time opportunity, subject to performance.
  
- Previous internship in one of the following areas would be beneficial: Private Equity fund, M&A or structured/leveraged finance team of an investment bank, Transaction Services team of a leading audit firm, leading strategy consulting firm.

## Communication Scope

  
- High level of communication skills required, both verbally and in writing.
  
- Interns will regularly communicate with internal and external contacts, including Ardian clients, other Ardian teams, operating partners, and external advisors or consultants.
  
- Interns will frequently interact with members of the Ardian Infrastructure team located in other geographies.
  
- Fluent written and spoken English.
