## Role Overview

As a Data Scientist Intern, you will tackle tough problems alongside other scientists and engineers. You will work with colleagues who challenge your ideas, learn from them, and collaborate on impactful work. Our investors include some of the world’s largest retirement funds, research institutions, educational endowments, healthcare systems, and foundations.

## Responsibilities

  
- Independently research and develop hypotheses based on diverse and unique real-world datasets.
  
- Conduct literature reviews to develop and apply cutting-edge methodologies for extracting meaningful signals from our vast data holdings.
  
- Partner with engineers and business stakeholders to rigorously explore and test your theories.
  
- Engage with the academic community through reading circles and seminars to stay up to date on the latest research.
  
- Join reading circles to stay current on recent research papers in relevant fields.
  
- Attend academic seminars to learn from thought leaders from top universities.
  
- Complete a 10-week summer internship at our Soho-based New York City office, partnering with an assigned mentor on a single project, culminating in a final presentation.

## Requirements & Qualifications

  
- Pursuing a degree in a technical or quantitative discipline (e.g., chemistry, computer science, economics, statistics, quantitative social science) with approximately one year remaining in your program. All levels welcome (bachelor’s to doctorate).
  
- Proficient in Python and SQL.
  
- Completed an in-depth research project examining real-world data.
  
- Independent thinker who can creatively approach data analysis and communicate complex ideas clearly.
  
- No mandatory finance background; if you have strong research skills, training in finance can be provided.

## Compensation

The weekly base pay for this role is:

  
- $3,800/Week (Bachelor’s)
  
- $3,900/Week (Master’s)
  
- $4,200/Week (PhD)

This role may be eligible for additional forms of compensation and/or benefits.
