With a focus on interest rate risk management, asset and liability management, liquidity management, and funding activities, the candidate will gain an understanding of money markets and how the bank executes and manages its banking book positions. The successful candidate will gain exposure to senior members of the Markets and Treasury business and insights into balance sheet optimization, funding, liquidity, and cash product rate dynamics. The candidate will also be expected to contribute to projects related to: - Gain overview and understanding of functions in the Treasury Department – support business activities and gain exposure to managing various stakeholders. - P&L reporting – understand treasury P&L mechanisms, gather and report P&L from branches, analyze P&L contribution factors, and enhance P&L reporting dashboards. Standardize P&L calculation methodology across the region. - Interest Rate Risk Control Enhancement – gather interest rate sensitivity data, enhance Tableau dashboards with regional data, and build market indicators and investment dashboards to compare funding costs and yields across currencies. - Data Analytics and Visualization – collect balance sheet management data from various systems and build automated processes for analytics and visualization using Tableau. - Deposit Analysis – core deposit modeling to study APAC deposit portfolios, identify core deposits with less than 5 years of data, monitor the portfolio, and propose improvements on pricing and balance to optimize the portfolio during rate cycles. - FTP Standardization – summarize and clarify FTP methodologies (base rate and LP) for each branch and support FTP standardization. - Benchmark Analysis – gather information about competitors' balance sheets, compare and propose recommendations to optimize the balance sheet. - Any other miscellaneous tasks related to balance sheet optimization. ## Job Requirements - A “can do” attitude and an outgoing personality - Ability to learn on the job and pick up concepts quickly - Entrepreneurial spirit and pro-active mindset - Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint - Good with numbers and report writing skills - Strong organizational skills - Students pursuing a degree in Business / Finance / Economics or related disciplines - Working Hours: 8:30 am – 6:00 pm ## Important Note - Interested applicants must submit a CV and Cover Letter. - Please submit your details via our early careers website at Careers (myworkdayjobs.com). - Only shortlisted applicants will be notified. ## Location & Eligibility This internship role is based in Singapore and is open to Singaporean and PR students only.
