### Overview

Systems Office for Asia – IT Risk Management Department

Internship period: 3 August 2026 – 31 December 2026

### Role

The IT Risk Management Intern will support the IT Governance, Risk and Compliance (ITGRC) function within the IT Risk Management Department (IRMD), a regional first line of defence supporting MUFG Bank’s Asia Pacific branches. The role provides subject matter guidance on IT risk governance, processes, and technical aspects related to ITGRC, and helps establish and maintain first-line governance and oversight of IT risks.

### Responsibilities

  
- IT Governance
    

      
- Support the development, review, and reporting of key IT risk exposures and metrics (e.g., KRIs and KPIs).
      
- Provide independent reporting on the IT risk posture and activities to management and stakeholders (e.g., second line of defence).
      
- Support the development, review, and maintenance of regional IT risk management framework, standards, and procedures to ensure alignment with Head Office and regulatory standards.
    

  
  
- IT Risk & Audit
    

      
- Assist in coordinating audits, regulatory responses, and assessments covering technology and information security topics.
    

  
  
- IT Compliance
    

      
- Help ensure gaps are addressed via remediation plans, open issues management, timely submission of corrective actions, accurate root-cause analysis, monitoring, on-time closure, and no failed validations.
    

  
  
- General
    

      
- Collaborate with the ITGRC team, Head Office, branches, and departments to support global, regional, and local projects.
      
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.

- Gain foundational knowledge of IT Governance, Risk and Compliance principles, IT controls across technology domains, and cyber security risks.
  
- Experience working with first, second, or third-line functions responsible for technology and information security risks and controls.
  
- Enhance analytical skills and learn to provide practical risk management solutions.

### Requirements

  
- Self-driven and independent, capable of learning and collaborating across functions, with strong decision-making and prioritization abilities.
  
- Enthusiastic, positive attitude, and a genuine interest in IT Risk & Control tools and knowledge.
  
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
  
- Preference for some programming knowledge.
