Key responsibilities
- Maintain and follow strict confidentiality as customer privacy is our biggest tenet.
- Work with a range of data types including text, speech, image, and video.
- Deliver high-quality labeled data using provided guidelines to meet KPIs and using in-house tools and software.
- Assume the role of a subject matter expert for ML data workflows and demonstrate proficiency in researching, creating factually and grammatically correct responses, ranking responses, and annotating text, speech, image, and video.
- Make logical decisions while performing tasks even when provided information is ambiguous.
- Maintain an eye for detail and the ability to pivot between different requirement categories instantaneously.
- Support daily operational deliverables such as AHT, quality, and TAT for multiple task types assigned to you and the team.
- Demonstrate expertise in end-to-end data execution processes related to labeling tasks and be less dependent on explicit work instructions.
- Contribute to root cause analysis, identify error patterns, and propose solutions to improve labeling quality.
- Identify day-to-day process and operational issues in SOPs and tools, and suggest changes to unblock operations.
- Demonstrate ownership in floor support to clarify internal queries during execution as needed.
A day in the life
We are looking for an ML Data Associate (MLDA) to undertake foundational labeling functions, such as dialogue evaluation on speech, text, audio, and video data, to assess and improve Alexa’s performance in everyday situations.
About the team
The team works strictly in the office Monday through Friday with an eight-hour shift. We are continually looking for ways to improve our capabilities and deliver the best product possible. The team is diverse, with regular meetings, trainings, and Amazon events throughout the year.
Basic Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher.
- Experience presenting complex ideas in writing (e.g., authoring white papers, proposals, or formal strategy documents).
- Experience communicating complex business concepts verbally and in writing.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
- Experience developing solutions and executing plans on complex projects.
- Experience effectively gathering information from multiple data sources.
- Experience with analytics and/or automation tools, or experience with version control tools.
- CEFR C1+ or equivalent fluency in German and English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience executing content projects, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines.
- Experience with open source investigation techniques.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, changing, or international environment.
- Experience managing and coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience working with multiple groups of stakeholders.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications.
