Singapore is the regional headquarters for ING's Wholesale Banking (WB) business in Asia, which includes all WB business lines such as Financial Markets, Strategic Products, Sectors, Lending and Transaction Services and other support functions. ## Function Overview Global Credit Trading team (“GCT”) is responsible for credit trading in Emerging Europe, APAC and European IG, Covered Bonds & HY and US IG. The desk is an active market maker in hard currency credit and supports the primary bond activity. Flow trading, credit analysis, pricing, structuring, execution, hedging, electronic/voice trading and distribution are key components of the business. The team interacts daily with Sales, Research and DCM/Syndicate. GCT aims to be at the front of the ongoing transformation in financial markets, focusing in particular on data analytics and systematic trading. Successful candidates will be change leaders, with a burning ambition to improve performance through the adoption of technology. ## Duties and responsibilities - Global Credit Trading operates in a high paced environment trading bonds and CDS. - We are looking for a candidate who can learn quickly and adapt to an ever changing environment. - The candidate will work closely with 3 other senior team members in Singapore and one senior team member based in London. - The traders interact regularly with Sales, Syndicate, Research and Risk Management functions. - This is an Intern position where guidance and on the job training will be provided on an ongoing basis. - The candidate will primarily work on ad-hoc projects based on the team’s requirement and to understand the business in a better way. It is preferred that the candidate has a strong grasp of Bond Mathematics and Credit markets. ## What do we ask of you? _Essential:_ - Excel, Word, and PowerPoint _Desirable:_ - Good understanding of fixed income products, especially bonds and CDS - Coding Skills: Python, Java, Matlab ## Personal Competencies _Essential:_ - ‘Can do’ attitude, positive mindset, adaptability and resilience - Curious, entrepreneurial and innovative problem solver - Collaborative team player - Clear, concise and transparent communicator - Disciplined, customer-focused and results-driven - Attention to detail - Ability to work under pressure in a high-paced environment - Ability to ingest large amounts of data under time pressure - Accountable for own actions and able to learn from mistakes _Desirable:_ - Mandarin or Korean language capability - Secondary Asian language ## Need more information?
