PJT Park Hill’s Private Equity Group offers analysts the chance to engage directly in advising “best in class” private equity firms on all aspects of the capital raise – including advisory work, market positioning, and ultimately raising capital from top institutional investors across the globe.

The private placement process develops both the quantitative and qualitative skills required at more advanced levels across the financial spectrum. Candidates must possess an interest in the alternative asset industry—specifically private equity.

The Distribution Analyst will be based in our New York office and will provide support to PJT Park Hill’s East Coast Distribution team across each fundraising assignment. The Analyst will be exposed to all elements of a private placement transaction and play a critical role throughout the engagement and marketing process. Analysts will have significant interaction with senior professionals in the group, as well as with clients and investors, developing a deep understanding of the private equity marketplace.

The role of the Analyst is to assist the Distribution team in all aspects of the capital raising process – from working closely with investors on key deliverables/action items, drafting materials for dissemination to investors, and providing support in prospecting new investors.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Assist the Distribution team in all aspects of the capital raising process;
  • Engage with Limited Partners while providing key deliverables, such as investor presentations, PJT Park Hill insight reports, ad hoc data and analysis requests;
  • Draft and distribute fund-specific email campaigns to initiate and monitor investor demand, leveraging PJT Park Hill’s internal CRM;
  • Attend General Partner / Limited Partner meetings and conference calls, disseminate detailed summary notes to the necessary parties internally and assist with documenting follow-ups;
  • Serve as the medium between the project management and distribution teams, ensuring that project-specific campaigns are addressed and executed;
  • Develop an understanding of products marketed by PJT Park Hill and be able to summarize investment highlights;
  • Monitor and update PJT Park Hill’s deal CRM system accordingly (DealCloud);
  • Prepare and maintain investor profiles and source key information;
  • Coordinate weekly/bi-weekly standing calls to coordinate new and ongoing priorities.

Qualifications

PJT Partners seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent, and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. The following qualifications apply:

  • 1–2 years of prior experience in investment banking or private equity and/or other alternative investments;
  • Bachelor’s degree required with Accounting, Finance, or Economics major preferred;
  • Strong, detail-oriented analytical skills;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and to handle multiple projects at a time;
  • Self-starter with the ability to work effectively as part of a team;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Strong work ethic and results-oriented mentality;
  • Personal and professional integrity;
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

Expected annualized base salary of $120,000 to $130,000.

This range represents the low and high ends of the expected annualized base salary for this position. The specific base salary received by any employee will be informed by a number of factors, including but not limited to role level and scope, location, candidate’s relevant qualifications, skills, and experience.

Base salary is one component of PJT Partners’ compensation structure. In addition to base salary, PJT Partners’ compensation structure may include additional rewards, incentives, and benefits, including a discretionary bonus component.
