Our diverse client base covers multinational energy companies, upstream independents and entrepreneurs in energy transition (e.g., Biogas, Hydrogen, CCUS). The team collaborates with the Power, Utilities & Infrastructure and Industrials teams in London as well as the Houston-based US Energy team. ## What you can expect Investment Banking Interns gain insight into a global, client-focused investment bank in an entrepreneurial environment where they can make an immediate impact and gain recognition. Interns experience the breadth of Jefferies’ offerings across investment banking products and industry expertise by working closely with senior bankers on pitches and live deals. The lean deal-team structure provides hands-on experience and helps develop lasting professional relationships with peers and senior bankers. Interns perform fundamental analysis and research into companies and markets, are encouraged to think creatively, contribute their input, and add value from day one. Interns are expected to pursue their projects with excellence, a collaborative spirit, and the highest levels of integrity. ## Responsibilities - Performing financial valuation, discounted cash flow and multiples-based analyses - Building and operating financial models - Preparing pitchbooks and live deal materials, such as offering memorandums and prospectuses - Conducting industry and product research - Analyzing detailed corporate and financial information - Participating in the execution of M&A, equity and debt transactions ## What we look for in a candidate - Ambition to make an impact by doing real, hands-on work and participating on active deal teams - Ability to multitask and manage a variety of projects simultaneously - Professionalism and client-management skills, with strong technical, written and verbal communication abilities - Comfort working in a fast-paced, challenging, and intellectually stimulating environment - Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, be flexible, and work independently and as part of a team - For candidates applying to the London office, fluency in English is required - Previous experience within corporate finance is preferred ## What we like to offer you We offer a 3-month internship within the Energy Team in the Investment Banking division.
