## Role details

## Purpose of the role

  
- Support promotion and expansion of Aviation Finance (AF) business to target and grow customers in the Asia Pacific (ex. Japan) region.
  
- Support operational, research and auxiliary matters of the AF team.

## Job Responsibilities

  
- Support the AF team in relation to origination and execution of deals and collaborate closely with MUFG branches and other divisions.
  
- Prepare and update internal reports related to AF transactions.
  
- Prepare borrower rating and credit analysis for existing or prospective clients.
  
- 
  
- Support AF origination and execution of deals and collaborate with MUFG branches and other relevant divisions to achieve team profit targets and applicable KPIs.
  
- Manage and develop relationships with existing and prospective AF clients to originate mandates for debt issuance and arranging mandates, including but not limited to warehouse financings, portfolio financings, PDP financing, ABS-type transactions, JOLCO financing, and airline structured bonds (EETC private/public).
  
- Provide guidance and knowledge transfer to more junior team members.
  
- Liaise with various departments and work with GAFO as a global aviation team.
  
- Ensure that transaction risk profiles meet the bank’s requirements; provide analysis and assessment of transactional risks and obtain necessary credit approvals.
  
- Monitor and ensure credit compliance for executed transactions that have not been transferred to SFD-AF-PM.
  
- Comply with relevant MAS regulations and MUFG group policies.

## Job Requirements

  
- Proven experience in reviewing core transaction documents across multiple aircraft finance transactions.
  
- Proven experience performing financial statement analysis.
  
- For Analyst: Minimum 1 year of working experience, preferably within the front office banking industry or financial institutions.
  
- For Associate: Minimum 2 years of working experience, preferably within the front office banking industry or financial institutions.
  
- Aviation industry experience is an added advantage.
  
- Good knowledge of banking processes plus strong communication, writing and interpersonal skills.
  
- Strong business acumen with a good sense of deal closing.
  
- Self-motivated, a good team player, customer-focused, and able to work independently.
  
- Degree-qualified.
