## Role details

## Job Summary

The Japanese Corporate Banking (JCB) Client Services Analyst’s primary responsibility is to assist JCB corporate banking clients by responding to their inquiries and requests, determining appropriate pricing of loans and deposits based on market conditions and relationship status, and instructing middle and back office to book transactions once rates are agreed upon. As a JCB Client Services Analyst, you will contribute to the growth of JCB and maximize overall client satisfaction. You will proactively reach out to clients in case of irregular activities at their accounts to resolve discrepancies and address funding shortages, acting as the first line of defense to protect the bank’s capital, liquidity, and reputation. The role operates within the Client Services Department (CSD) of Japanese Corporate Banking (JCB), offering services such as loans, deposits, investment, cash management, and foreign exchange (FX), and plays a critical role in differentiating MUFG’s JCB from US local competitors.

**Work arrangement:** The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.

## Primary Responsibilities

- Instruct back-office operations to book transactions once terms and conditions are agreed, ensuring sufficient credit capacity and compliance with approved conditions.

- Close FX deals (buying and selling) with major currencies for spot dates and set forward option contracts.

- Arrange standby domestic/Cayman/money markets for various terms and conditions, ensuring quoted rates meet internal guidelines.

- Improve and maintain client satisfaction by responding promptly to inquiries and requests.

- Deepen awareness to limit fraud. Investigate suspicious activities and wire transfers, contacting clients to ensure all funding and transfers are properly authorized by registered representatives.

- Monitor NSF (non-sufficient funds) data and coordinate with the client and relationship manager to prevent overdrafts.

- Monitor Work In Progress (WIP) to ensure entries are accounted for and GL data is accurate.

- Meet with clients to brief on CSD services and support the relationship manager in marketing JCB’s full service and dedicated client service resources.

**Inter-department coordination to address client requests (20%)**

- Maintain a thorough understanding of the bank’s internal policies and procedures relevant to credit policies (ACP/ACRP), transaction banking products, and market conditions.

- Collaborate with the Transaction Banking Client Delivery team to follow up with clients and address issues.

- Participate in departmental and JCB cross-unit projects.

- Update and maintain databases; retrieve data to produce reports and respond to client and management inquiries.
