## Overview

We are seeking a Junior Risk Manager to join our expanding discretionary trading team. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to Squarepoint’s discretionary trading business worldwide by implementing a structured risk management culture and robust processes and controls to ensure sound and stable operation. You will collaborate with researchers and traders, leveraging our research platform, and help begin your career in Risk Management.

## Responsibilities

- Identify and evaluate risks associated with discretionary trading strategies

- Collaborate with Quantitative Researchers and Traders on strategy analysis

- Ensure strategies are run within the risk allocation defined by the Investment Committee

- Analyze risk at the portfolio level and identify performance drivers

- Assist with trade portfolio construction across the discretionary business

- Drive the development of Squarepoint's risk framework by improving processes and infrastructure for managing the discretionary business

## Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or related field (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Financial Engineering, Operations Research, Computer Science, Physics); advanced degree preferred

- From graduate level up to 3 years of commercial experience

- Demonstrated interest in Risk Management

- Demonstrated interest in a quantitative approach

- Ability to collaborate with trading, analytics, and quantitative teams

- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with teammates globally

- Strong sense of urgency and capacity to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

## Compensation & Benefits

The minimum base salary for this role is $125,000 if located in New York. This reflects information available at the time of posting. The role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, which could constitute a significant portion of total compensation. Benefits may include health, dental, and other wellness plans, as well as 401(k) contributions. Final compensation and benefits will be determined based on multiple factors.
