# Software Engineering – Full Stack/Back End Engineer

## Overview

The Private Wealth Management (PWM) business provides end-to-end investment management services and advice across a wide range of asset classes for high net worth individuals. PWM leverages a global technology platform offering, an integrated suite of tools, and applications to onboard clients. Our software helps realize a client’s goals and objectives, develop and implement an integrated wealth management plan, and deliver first-class client service.

In ISG-Tech we are developing a state-of-the-art platform in Python for portfolio construction, portfolio optimization, strategy development, back-testing, wealth transfer, and fund management. The platform is built on the latest technologies including machine learning and factor-based optimization. The technology team, in partnership with ISG (Investment Strategic Group), is responsible for asset allocation for the firm as well as managing multiple funds.

We are in search of motivated developers with Python or Java development background who enjoy tackling challenging computer science problems and are eager to learn.

## Responsibilities

  
- Work directly with a team of engineers responsible for asset allocation of hundreds of billions of dollars and the management of multi-billion-dollar funds.
  
- Research and development to build a state-of-the-art finance platform.
  
- Propose, design, and implement software solutions to enhance client services and capture new opportunities.

## Qualifications

  
- BS degree in Computer Science or Mathematics; MS or Ph.D. is a plus.
  
- 2+ years of Python or Java experience.
  
- Understanding of data structures and algorithms.
  
- Good understanding of SQL databases (familiarity with NoSQL databases is a plus).
  
- Strong mathematics background (linear algebra, statistics, calculus).
  
- Motivated to learn.
